Our Team

The Canadian Muslims Online research project relies on a number of individuals for its success.

Our research team is composed of Co-investigators and Collaborators based at different academic institutions across Canada. They work in various departments (religious studies, philosophy, gender studies, and sociology) and their respective research areas and experiences are wide-ranging, many having previous experience working as part of large, interdisciplinary research projects.

Our Research Assistants come from the undergraduate, Masters and PhD programs at the four collaborating Canadian universities.  The principal investigator and the Coordinator are housed at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) from which they manage this multi-year, interdisciplinary research project and academic work.

Our research participants, of course, play a primary role.  They are Muslim women and men from across Canada who are willing to share their views about, and experiences with digital environments within the Canadian context. Without their generous collaboration, the project would not be able to proceed.
